The Bedell Firm recently competed in the Young Lawyers Section Charity Chili Cook-Off, an annual event hosted by the Jacksonville Bar Association. Led by team captain Gwandos Ward, several cooks assisted with the preparation in the Bedell kitchen. The Bedell Firm enjoyed networking with around 50 teams from local law firms while raising money for a good cause.
The YLS Charity Chili Cook-Off event has grown to be one of the staples for the local legal community and has raised thousands of dollars for many deserving charities. This year, the event benefited Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, an organization that provides children who are deaf or hard of hearing with the listening, learning and spoken language skills they need to succeed in mainstream schools.
