Bedell Firm Director Brian Coughlin was recently re-elected to the Jacksonville Bar Association Board of Governors. Brian’s goals for the year include supporting Jacksonville lawyers personally and professionally, keeping in high esteem the judiciary and system of justice, leading on major issues affecting the profession, and helping maintain strong membership and financial infrastructure for the organization.
“We will be a Board of Governors that insists on professional and ethical standards that instill public confidence in our profession,” Brian said in a statement for the JBA. “And, because bringing lawyers together is a major junction of the JBA, I will continue to push for diverse opportunities for networking and legal education.”
Among Brian’s many accomplishments, he was recently appointed to the Juvenile Court Rules Committee for the 2022 term, and was featured in the Jacksonville Daily Record for his article “Commentary: Distracted driver law: Get up to speed.” Brian’s other leadership roles include his previous Co-Chair position for the Leadership Jacksonville program Justice Day.
