Justice Day Committee

Attorney Brian Coughlin, Bedell Firm director, recently served as Co-Chair for the Leadership Jacksonville program Justice Day. Along with his co-chair Kathy Para, he planned this day-long event bringing together more than 50 community leaders to learn about the justice system on the First Coast.

Members visited local judicial offices to develop a better understanding of criminal and civil components of the justice system, the rights of all who are impacted by the courts, and the economic and human costs of the Jacksonville Justice system. Speakers included Sheriff Mike Williams, the Honorable Eleni Derke of the Fourth Judicial Circuit and L.E. Hutton, Chief Assistant State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

Coughlin was part of the 2016 graduating class of Leadership Jacksonville. He is deeply involved in the Jacksonville legal industry, serving on the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association, among other appointments. Read more about Coughlin here.
