Taylor M. Collins
Taylor M. Collins joined the Bedell law clerk team this summer, eager to learn from our experienced attorneys. She looks forward to gaining first-hand experience by observing depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
“My parents instilled in me a desire to learn and made a lot of sacrifices so I could become a first-generation college graduate,” she said. “Because of that, I have never taken the opportunity to learn lightly and I feel like being an attorney is one way I can pay it forward.”
Taylor chose Bedell for its history and collaborative environment, impressed by the firm’s strong reputation among judges and other lawyers. During her clerkship, she hopes to improve her client interaction skills and build confidence in tackling legal challenges. Her ultimate goal is to specialize in litigation.
James M. McCauley
James M. McCauley has also joined Bedell’s 2024 summer law clerk team, with a keen interest in litigation. He looks forward to meeting and networking with attorneys, as well as gaining practical legal experience.
“It’s been great to witness what a career as a lawyer is truly like,” he said. “I’m confident that seeing how the Bedell attorneys interact with clients and other lawyers will be invaluable to my growth as a future lawyer.”
Drawn to Bedell’s reputation and wide range of practice areas, James aims to hone his research, writing, and interpersonal skills during his clerkship. His goal is to graduate from UF Law with honors, pass the Florida Bar, and build a successful legal career in Northeast Florida.
