We are proud to announce that Bedell Director and attorney Brian Coughlin has been sworn in as the new President of the Jacksonville Bar Association (JBA) Board of Governors. His term begins this summer, marking the culmination of years of service and leadership within the organization.

Brian has served on the JBA Board of Governors since 2017 and previously held the role of President-Elect. Throughout his tenure on the Board, he has made meaningful contributions to the legal community through education, outreach, and service. His commitment to the profession and the Northeast Florida community reflects the core values of the JBA and our firm.

“It’s an honor to represent an organization that plays such an important role in Jacksonville’s legal and civic life,” Brian said. “As President, I hope to continue building a strong, engaged Bar community that supports our members in every stage of their careers.”

Brian focuses his practice on criminal justice matters throughout the state of Florida. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, and Super Lawyers. Brian is a graduate of the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law and joined Bedell in 2007. He is a former chair of The Florida Bar Professional Ethics Committee and actively participates in several civic and legal organizations across the region.
