Ashley Cox Discusses Running for Circuit Court Judgeship
Ashley Cox has always been passionate about public service and the legal profession. Her candidacy for Circuit Court judge is driven by her commitment to upholding high standards and serving the North Florida community.
“I wanted to run to be a circuit court judge because we have to have intelligent, hardworking, professional, ethical judges on our bench. I know I can fulfill all of those requirements. I know I will serve the community well,” she said.

About Ashley Cox
Ashley Cox graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 1997 and earned her law degree with honors from Northwestern University School of Law in 2002. She began her legal career as a Skadden Fellow attorney at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc., where she dedicated two years to public service. Following this, Ashley served as an Assistant State Attorney in Jacksonville, handling both misdemeanor and felony cases.
She has been a part of Bedell since 2006 and has since become a valued leader in the firm. In addition to her legal practice, Ashley is actively involved in numerous professional associations, including the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Florida Family Law American Inn of Court, and the Guardian Ad Litem program.
