Attorney Spotlight: Lidija Barauskas

Attorney Lidija Barauskas joined the Bedell Firm in 2019, practicing criminal defense law. 

Background

Lidija Barauskas received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in 2012, and her J.D. degree from Florida State University College of Law in 2015. She served as an Assistant State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit, handling both misdemeanor and felony cases. In 2017, Barauskas moved from Pensacola to Jacksonville to be closer to family, continuing as an Assistant State Attorney at the Fourth Judicial Circuit until joining the Bedell Firm in 2019. 

Personal History

Barauskas grew up in Treasure Island, Florida. She attended Emory University, where she played soccer. Her college soccer career ended with seven goals and four assists, including game-winning scores and goals in NCAA Championship contests. Her love for soccer continues today, as she plays for several recreational teams across Jacksonville. When not playing soccer, she enjoys spending time with her family.  

Accomplishments

Barauskas has practiced criminal law for four years as a prosecutor, gaining significant trial experience. She is dedicated and hardworking and she hopes to contribute to notable cases, upholding the reputation of the Bedell Firm in the community.
